Standing 1408m tall, just 7 km from Benidorm’s coast, the Puig Campana is the most famous and striking landmark in the area, visible from all corners of Costa Blanca.

The walk starts on the mountain’s northern slopes – interestingly known to be slightly cooler than the south – with some excellent views of the surrounding valleys. The reward of reaching the summit make this strenuous walk so worthwhile as you are presented with spectacular views of the Aitana – Costa Blanca’s highest mountain range – to the North and the beautiful coastline stretching from Calpe to Alicante towards the South.

If you’re lucky you might even see the island of Ibiza rising out of the Mediterranean Sea in the distance.

On request we can as well alter the route for less experienced walkers taking in the circular route around the base of this iconic mountain.

Furthermore, experienced walkers have the possibility to prolong the walk taking in the summit of Ponoig – the “sleeping lion” – or returning to our minivan via a different route.
